This is a must have if you have a Surface 3. And this a deal, since it is regularly $200. Be advised, this is NOT for the Pro 3, Pro 4, Surface RT or Surface 2. That said, it will enable you to easily connect multiple USB, regular monitor, wired Ethernet, and a more powerful charger.
Although you can't tell from the picture, the way you dock it is to pull apart the ends, slide in your Surface 3, and close the ends, as it engages the Mini DisplayPort and USB 3.0 ports.
It has two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, mini headphone jack, Ethernet, and a Mini DisplayPort. Although you'll need an adapter to VGA or HDMI, Surface 3 does NOT support multiple monitors. It also has a standard Kensington lock slot.
